About Us

Our History

Doña Esperanza was established in 2015 in the kitchen of a small town in Texas.  We are a Hispanic, female-owned small business with big dreams. Our small business began with the idea of creating supplemental income for my mother-in-law Esperanza as she began to transition into retirement.

We grew online quickly and began shipping garments all over the U.S., but soon our trajectory would be derailed.

Unfortunately, the business was forced to close until 2022. During this time we purchased land, sold two homes, and moved to San Antonio, Texas. We broke into costuming for burlesque and have not looked back since.

We enjoy creating, whether it be that something special for a family photo or that show-stopping moment under the lights.  Let’s create something magical together.

Seamstress, Founder

Esperanza was born in Michocan, Mexico. She raised 3 children all while being a working mother.  She found her way into a job with the school district of Alice, Texas, where she retired at the age of 68 in 2016. She quickly began to teach me (Bunny Le Fluer) how to sew and off we went making clothing for men women and children!

Creative Director, Founder

I have always known being my own boss was something I wanted long-term. I have been drawn to business, customer service, and non-profit work through most of my career.  I found myself in a relationship that became a marriage and family unit.  From discussions over dinners and shared creativity, the ideas became tangible and grew. In 2018, I became diagnosed with a couple chronic illnesses which took several years to regulate. I am now a full time entrepreneur and 100% self-made business owner.
